Basic Grey Granola

These are the layouts we are doing in class tomorrow, I love these papers!! think I say that about all the papers I use though...oops! Great for boys and men's pages and also for the outdoors photos, but you have flowers as well so you make it feminine. I had a new flourish stamp delivered last week so I decided to use that on one of the pages.

Great day for scrapping...far to cold & wet to go outside!!

Simply Stated

The papers that were used in this weeks class are by Dream Street papers and are from the Simply Stated range.

The papers can be brought from the Crafty Cockney and the frame was cut on the cricut machine with the Home Accents cartridge. I am loving this cartridge, so many beautiful designs,I need to send a huge hug to Margaret for letting me borrow her cartridge. 21st and Cancun title were cut on the Street Sign cartridge.

The flourishes were done using the Bazzill stitch templates and then I joined the dots together with a white pencil before going over them all with a white gel pen...makes life alot easier especailly if you are pricking through onto black cardstock.

Off on a retreat at the weekend so looking forward to getting on with some of the many kits I have piled up in my craft room!

Crate Prudence

These are the layouts the girls did yesterday, I love Crate paper, they have changed the texture and weight of the card since I last used it but I think its better now, not quite so thick. The diecut 12x12 sheets are beautiful and there are two designs for each range. The first layout is loosely based on the promotional layout from Crate, the other two are my own designs. Although all my kits have gone I do have some of the diecut sheets left if you are interested.

All day crop

Recovering after a fabulous day yesterday at our all day crop for Southend Scrappers. We had just under 40 ladies scrapping all day, they had a lovely roast at lunch (all the better for not having to cook it yourself)and 2 shops to buy some much needed stash from. The kit they had was from Three bugs in a rug and the main layout is the birthday one, I went on to make another 3 layouts from the kit. The day goes so quickly....roll on January 11th when we do it all again!!

This is what the girls are doing today, I love those spellbinder dies that I got at Ally Pally. They emboss really well and look fantastic when they have been inked and made to look like the beautiful leaves we are seeing now as the trees change colour.I also used my new cricut cartridge street signs for the first time, think this is going to be used quite alot! The other layout has used papers from Making Memories and I had a chance to use my precious stamp at last.

Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl

For the girls at this weeks crop, here are the papers we are using for a single and a double layout. You will need for the double layout, 1 6x4 portrait, 1 6x4 landscape which can have some of the right hand side cut off as it is going to be split over the two pages, so you dont want it going through somebodys face!! 1 6x4 landscape that can be cropped to about 5x4 and 2 3x21/2 photos(I had 1 landscape 1 portrait). For the single you need just one 6x4 or 7x5 portrait photo, if you dont have a coloured photo a black and white one would be fine. I have used photos my sons trip to Rome for the double and a photo of my hubby for the single, it has the title Love but you can change that to anything you want and replace the heart dies with something else from the huge sheet you are getting in this kit. You are also getting a beautiful pack of thin white cardstock alphabets, but I am getting to much glare from the wrapper so I have taken it off the photo.

I will post the layouts thursday as usual.

Enjoy the weekend....fab weather for once!!

Vita Bella

Thursday 4th September sees my first class at Crafty Cockney, Hullbridge. I wanted to give the girls a peak at what the papers etc look like that they are going to be using and also give some idea of what photos you need to bring.

In the first layout you will need 2 6x4 landscape or 1 7x5 portrait photo, the theme can be anything you like, I have used photos from Austria. The colours in the papers are deep turquoise blues/greens. The second layout is 1 7x5 portrait or 2 6x4 landscape again plus 4 photos that can be cropped to around 2" square or slightly bigger. Again any title/theme, it does not matter, I have used photos taken in some Alnwick gardens.

The following week we are doing a small mini album from the same range of papers and if time another layout. You can use any scraps you have left over from the first week in the mini album.

I dont have a full class so if anybody is free then they are more than welcome to come along, if I have any kits left over then I will make up some instructions and they will be available to buy. Classes start at 10.30am and finish around 4.00pm and the cost £15.00 that includes your kit.

Anything you need to know, please email me at here
